GD Goenka emphasises on providing students with a complete education as a combination of extracurricular activities with classroom instruction. We always embrace innovative teaching methodologies and technological advancements. Moral education serves as the and our students' interactions with their peers and other faculty train them towards civic awareness. The goal of GD Goenka, Patel Nagar is to help students become emotionally strong by teaching them life skills and wellness techniques. We focus on the personal development of students and encourage curiosity toward learning.

We, at GD Goenka, Patel Nagar, at this stage work with children through Montessori Curriculum which offers 5 key areas of study: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Cultural Studies. Each area of study is made up of a set of educational materials that increase in complexity. These curriculum areas provide hands-on learning, independent and collaborative play through the Montessori self-correcting material, interactive sessions, experiments and circle time

Pre-primary and Early years( La Petite)

The Pre-Primary section of a school represents the most important stages in the development of a child. . At this stage children enjoy the early implementation of Registration, Phonics, Early Reading, Literacy, and Numeracy. Such early implementation is cleverly disguised as learning through play, investigation and exploration through the exemplary teaching methods and techniques. It also includes social and school-readiness skills, learning to master both gross motor skills and fine motor skills .

Primary Curriculum( I-IV)

The primary curriculum aims to provide a broad learning experience and encourages a rich variety of approaches to teaching and learning that cater for the different needs of individual children. The primary curriculum is designed to nurture the child in all dimensions of his or her life—spiritual, moral, cognitive, emotional, imaginative, aesthetic, social and physical.

The aim is to provide a balanced and coherent program of learning in a child friendly environment. The children’s social, cognitive, emotional, motor and communicational skills are enhanced through various methodologies and pedagogies like experiential activities, role play method, show and tell, learning through smart classes etc. The syllabus at this stage includes the entire spectrum of discipline of the languages-English and Hindi to Mathematics and Environmental Sciences. As per NEP 2022 skill education should be an integral part of child’s learning. At GD Goenka, we have Computer Science, General Knowledege and Life Skills Programme(SEEL) as important components of school timetable.

PEDAGOGY

Teachers play an important role in imparting knowledge to their students and keeping their classrooms engaged. Depending on the age of the children our teachers use different teaching styles to help the students learn in an effective manner. Keeping in mind NEP, 2022, we follow the combination of different teaching techniques to make classroom teaching effective and innovative. Teaching style is chosen to accommodate strengths of the learners to maintain student engagement and keep lessons interesting. A combination of ChildCentric Learning, personalized learning, flip classroom, inquiry based learning and project based learning, experiential learning and learning by doing apporach is used for effective teaching and to make learning interesting
